The photos of Golden Dorado were all taken on location with Los Gauchos Outfitters-none of them are stock photos that were bought and paid for from someone who went on a trip elsewhere.
You will find Uruguay fishing photos of the actual fishing itself, and your accommodations, beverages, and cuisine as well. One special treat is our mid-day barbecue, also called an "asado". This is a feast of meat complete with large portions of chicken, Argentine beef, pork, sausage, and of course a bottle of fine red wine, or the surprisingly tasty local lager, Zillertal.

Uruguay dorado fishing is just one component of the Los Gauchos Salto trip. However, one day of fast action fishing and then the next day in the fields of Uruguay with high volume doves is a perfect hunting trip.
Uruguay Doves and Dorado
A standard Uruguay dove and dorado trip is three days with fishing for one or two days and one day of wing shooting in Uruguay.
The hunting area we use is large farmland with crops such as sunflower and sorghum that doves just hover to everyday of the year. Uruguay does not have a dove hunting season - it is year round, and the limit is - how fast can you reload?
Clients are welcome to bring their favorite hunting shotgun - there is a fee when you enter Uruguay with a gun as well as a temporary license. Los Gauchos assists and the process is an easy one once you arrive in Montevideo.
The group size minimum is 4 - and with dove hunting and dorado fishing - the group should be well taken care of and have lots to do in Uruguay! While Los Gauchos does accept single shooters and anglers, it is expensive, as the licenses and the fishing guides are priced like "economies of scale" the more the merrier. Not only, for the enjoyment of fishing and hunting in Uruguay; but, the costs of providing a first class fishing and hunting trip is best when shared among a group.
